![]() ![]() Flipping only one industry or building at a time tends to happen only in the first 2/3 rounds of the game alongside a loan. One thing we all share in common is the tendency to do multiflips. The other 2/3 focus more heavily on potteries with a side of mills or manufacturing depending on the cards they get. Theres 2 distinct playstyles in the group, 1 member focuses on manufacturing usually managing to reach and/or flip rank 7 and 8 manufacturing. We mostly play 3 player games, with the occasional 4. Not sure how to define our playstyle as a group. Those that do we keep, and so far the strategies we have are the ones that work best with us. Regardless we enjoy playing the game and wish to keep it that way, we branch out and try out new strategies from time to time, but rarely do they work out. But I don't know the average for a game of brass birmingham so. I like to think we tend to play decent to good games, tend to score around 140-170 points each every game. I wont deny the fact that as a group we play in an unusual manner but its just how our playstyle as a group ended up translating over to this one. And beer is the thing we take very very seriously in this game. ![]() Thus we will do small things to derail and intefere but large things will lead to all out war. To qoute general Hux "I dont care if you win, I just need them to lose". We can be absolutely vicious and self sacrificing to the point of insanity for vengeance. And two, if we slight each other, sabotage or massively derail another persons plan we have a tendency to go full scorched earth and do everything we can to tear down the one who ruined their plan. Its a meta thats developed for two reasons, one we know each other very well and can generally predict each others actions. If we have an opportunity to exploit a hole in the market we do, sorry if I gave the wrong impression on that front.Īlso when we play the game of stealing others beer we tend to end up doing a lot worse than normal (coal and iron though we steal freely), with scores lower than they otherwise would be, hitting around scores of 100-120 people because we lose a lot of turns/actions doing small flips to prevent the theft, and cant actually reach those higher level industries or we do but we have a lot fewer industries as a whole. I think I kinda exaggerated it a bit, Its just during that first turn or two of the rail era producing iron tends to be a lower priority, because even when we set up to solve that problem we just dont get the right cards. The iron situation lasts only for 2 turns at most, otherwise its generally fine. r/tabletopgamedesign - Designer's subreddit. ![]() r/boardgameexchange - selling/buying/trading games.Game of the Week Calendar Related Sites & Subreddits The simplest use is to bold game names in your comment and add " /u/r2d8 getinfo" at the end of the post, but this post/sub has other features identified.
